Summary

About me:

I am a former psychologist and LLB Wits University graduate. As a psychologist I have worked closely with lawyers who needed a psychologist to assist their clients. This is when my passion for law grew as I began to understand more about South African law. I believe that being a psychologist will help me connect with my clients and give them unique and effective solutions to their legal problems.

I am a hardworking student who believes in working from the office as a junior, respecting your boss and seniors, and work long hours when required too. I am an early bird, I start my day at 5am and believe in being in the office before your boss arrives. I believe in maintaining good work relationships and respecting my colleagues. I am a mature individual who has a good work-life balance, although I am more work orientated.

I am a GoldenKey Society member and I am on the Dean's list for 2022. I was writing consultant at the Wits Law School writing centre. My role included helping law students with their legal writing style, referencing and researching. Given that I have two postgraduate degrees that were research intensive, I am a good researcher.

During the varsity holidays I work for a law firm where I draft letters of demand, Notices of appeal, founding affidavits, discovery affidavits, memos to sheriffs and messengers, proof read contracts and communicate with clients and the other parties.

I have held many leadership positions during my university career, with my greatest achievement being that I was the head of sports and thus, the sports representative on the SRC at Wits. My love for sports is something that I have kept with me as I still participate in running and karate. I have my black belt in karate and teach children as well.
