It's still forming. I think the culmination of various work experiences, conversations and writing have helped me to see the bigger picture of organizational performance (learning and beyond), what spurs it forward and what hinders it.
The next career step is likely at the intersection of organizational learning and social business. I'm not sure what its called but its helping people with the interconnections of work and learning that performance and engagement is maximized.
Late 20's, no job, no property, no kids... my wife and I packed up and moved to Arizona from NY. New experiences and new people have made all the difference. Advice to my kids... when you get too comfortable, its time to shake the tree a bit.
In '99 I had the opportunity to leave public ed at a time when I had reached great success. The opportunity to stretch into elearning presented itself in the form of a startup with SmartForce's simulation team. I went for it and never looked back.
