There's a long list but depending on the importance of the plan I usually start by cursing. :)
My customer found me. I get paid to write sometimes and it's because I wrote, I blogged, I commented, I got "found". So? How do you find your first customer? Do good, passionate work and they just may come to you.
Sooner than many are comfortable with. As technology continues to automate that which should be automated, managers will need to build skills in areas to that foster collaboration, cooperation and knowledge sharing.
Through my work I mostly learn about myself. What I'm good at, what motivates me, where I need to grow, where I need/want to go, who I should talk to more, who I should talk to less.

It's still forming. I think the culmination of various work experiences, conversations and writing have helped me to see the bigger picture of organizational performance (learning and beyond), what spurs it forward and what hinders it.
Yes. Technology is advancing quickly and talent is no longer limited to ones region or country. The future of much work will be dominated by remote swarming teams, solving problems, completing projects then disbanding.
